How to create a Service Provider/Partner in COS BE

In an Open Access network it is common that new Service Providers and Contractors join over time, and this article explains how to set up a Partner in COS BE.

Introduction

The process of adding a new Partner (Service Provider or Contractor) to the Open Access network includes contractual steps, technical steps, administrative steps and training. The administrative step of setting up a Partner in COS BE, that is described in this article, is the shortest of them all.

 

Solution Overview

Partners are created under the menu Services/Partners. 

Click the Add icon (+)

Fill out the information and click Save

The Partner is now set up. When you have created a user for the Partner, they will be able to edit their contact information, presentation and logos etc. 

Settings

Days to keep IP-number history: Only shown if provisioning server is installed. Number of days that history for an IP address will be saved for an order. As an Operator, you can set a minimum time that the information must be saved. It’s controlled by the setting Minimum time IP history. The Service Provider then has to set a lower value than this.

Approve moved orders: Decides if an order shall be moved automatically (Yes) or if the Service provider has to first manually accept the move request (No). Default values could be set here with the possibility to override for each Service.

Approve new orders: Decides if an order that is created from the Marketplace shall be activated automatically (Yes) or if the Service provider has to first manually approve it (No). Default values could be set here with the possibility to override for each Service.

Service visible in portal: Decides if the service will be shown on the Marketplace or only available internally. Default values could be set here with the possibility to override for each Service.

Email:SP disruption: Email address that will receive notifications about disruptions in the Network.

Warn limit IP addresses: Only shown if provisioning server is installed. Warn limit for when service provider (Technical email) will be informed that the IP addresses are running low for a net. Can be given in numbers or percentage.
