Block customer

How to block customers as a service provider

The Block customer function is used as a tool to keep track and restrict customers when they have mismanaged their subscription, for example if they have not payed their bills on time. A blocked user will not be able to order services via the Marketplace.

Service providers have their own list of blocked customers, a customer that is blocked by one service provider may still be able to order from another service provider.

If a blocked user tries to order a service an error message will be shown that prompts the user to contact that service provider for more information.

Requirements to be able to block a customer:

  • The customer must have or previously had an Order with the service provider.
  • The order must have been active within a certain timeframe (set by operator).
  • The order needs to have been created by the customer.

Blocked customers will automatically be unblocked after the number of months given in the setting "Automatically remove Customer Data" (set by the operator)

Note that this function has no connection to abuse function.
