How to Onboard a New Service Provider / Partner – Step-by-Step Checklist
This checklist outlines all actions required when onboarding a new Service Provider (Partner or Contractor) into COS BE, including configuration, access setup, provisioning, and training.
1. Operator – Create the Partner in COS BE
2. Operator – Create Partner Admin User(s)
3. Operator – Configure Access and Service Permissions

Set Allowed Groups

Can be configured directly on the Partner or inherited from a Group.

Set Allowed Service Types

Defined for each Service Type in COS BE.

Ensures the Partner can only offer approved service types.

4. Operator – Configure Provisioning

Associate the Service Provider ID with the correct Integration System

Navigate to: System → Integration Systems

Add the Service Provider to the Provisioning Configuration and enable it

Navigate to: Provisioning → Configuration

Verify integration in your NMS system

Confirm configuration details such as API keys, profiles, VLAN/QoS mappings, etc.

5. Operator – Training and Testing with the Partner
Schedule a joint training and validation session to ensure the Partner understands their environment and workflows.
Recommended activities:

Create and publish services in the Marketplace

Edit company profile (logo, presentation, contact information)

Review the full order lifecycle (new, move, modify, cancel)

Practice incident handling and ticket management

Test reports and data exports
✅ Perform at least one test order and verify provisioning logs before go-live.
6. Service Provider – Configure Services, Company Profile and eventual Broadband labels

Set up Services and Product Catalog

Complete company profile

Add logo, description, contact details, and policy links.

Verify visibility and pricing in the Marketplace.

7. Optional – API and Webhook Configuration
