Diagnostics Behavior for ONT and Orders

When performing actions related to ONT connections and orders, the system automatically saves diagnostics/light levels with predefined types.

This only applies when using automatic provisioning.

Diagnostics

The Diagnostic history tab on a network element displays the historical technical information/diagnostics for the device.

  • Connecting an ONT to an Object: Diagnostics are automatically saved with the type "Installation".
  • Activating an Order for an Object: Diagnostics are automatically saved with the type "Order activated".
  • Terminating an Order and Activating a New One: Diagnostics are automatically saved with the type "Order activated".
  • Manually Saving Diagnostics: When manually saving diagnostics, the type is set to "Other".

Diagnostics in the Deployment Portal

Technical information/Diagnostics is displayed for technicians on work orders in the deployment portal, if a service has been activated.

Downtime

The Downtime tab on a network element displays the historical availability of the device. It provides a timeline of when the network element has been online or offline, along with the cause of each event.

  • During synchronization, if an ONT is detected as online, a downtime entry is also recorded to reflect its current status.
