Introduction:
In COS Business Engine, user roles are essential for managing network operations and ensuring the right people have access to specific tools and tasks. An Installer User is a specific User role designed for field technicians who are responsible for network installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This guide explains how to create an Installer User in COS Business Engine and assign the necessary permissions.
Solution Overview
To begin the process of creating a new Installer User, navigate to the "Services/Partners" page by entering "partner" into the search bar at the top of the COS Business Engine Dashboard.
On the Partners page, select the blue "+" icon to being the process of creating a new Partner in Business Engine. Enter in the relevant information about this new Partner and select the blue "Save" icon that will show in the upper left-hand side.
With your new Partner created, select the gray edit icon in the upper lefthand side above the Partner information menu to choose which Service Providers and Groups this new Partner will belong to.
With the new Partner created, it is now time to create a new User. This process can be started by navigating to the User menu or searching "users" as shown above. Once you have navigated to the Users page select the blue "+" icon to create a new User, enter the relevant information as done before and save the new User.
Note:
When creating a user, you will be asked to set a Profile.
Since this user is a Partner, we can select from:

Partner Administrator

Partner Support
In this case, the user that we're creating will have the Administrator profile. That means that this user will have access to schedule tasks for all users connected to the same Partner.
On the User Information page for your new User, scroll down to the "Working Hours" menu and select the "Add" prompt to set the working schedule of this new User.
Select the day of the week. Then you will be able to add time slots. In this example, this user will be available on Monday 's from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Once you have set the correct schedule, select the "Update" icon to confirm the schedule you have created for this User.
