How to Create a Work Order Template

Introduction

In COS Business Engine, Work Order Templates are predefined structure that outlines the Tasks needed for a specific type of Work Order. Creating a Work Order Template allows Business Engine users to reuse any Template previous created, ensuring consistency and efficiency in task management.

To begin the process of creating a Work Template, type "templates" into the search bar on the left of the COS Business Engine Dashboard and select the "Templates" option under the Deployment menu.

Once you have navigated to the Work Order Template menu, you will be able to search for any previously created Templates and also create a new one by hitting the "+" icon to create a new Template.

Give a name to the new Template and select which Object Types the new Template will apply to.

Add the standard Tasks that should be included in every Work Order created for the new Template. Specify details for each Task, such as, Task name, description, and other required fields. You will also configure additional parameters for each Task, including duration and assigned Users.


If you add existing Tasks, please remember to review the settings configured for them to ensure they align with the work to be performed using this template.

Verify the newly created Template appears in the list of available Work Order Templates.
