Introduction
In Business Engine, Task Types are essential for organizing and managing various activities that need to be performed. Task Types define the nature of tasks and ensure that they are categorized appropriately for efficient workflow management. Creating and configuring Task Types allows you to streamline task assignment and tracking within your organization.
Solution Overview
Task Types are used to classify Tasks based on their nature and purpose. These classifications help in organizing tasks, assigning them to the right individuals, and tracking their progress effectively. For example, Task Types might include categories such as "Installation," "Maintenance," or "Inspection." By setting up Task Types, you ensure that each task is categorized correctly according to its requirements.
To begin the process of creating a new Task Type, type "task" into the COS Business Engine Dashboard, and select the "Deployment/Task Types" option.
Once you have navigated to the Task Types page, you will see a list of any already existing Task Types in your organization. You will also be able to create a new Task Type by selecting the blue "+" icon in the upper left-hand side of the screen.
On this page you will define the key information associated with this new Task Type, such as the name and whether or not you want to set an automated Customer Notification each time the Task has been completed by an Installer. With all key information set, please select the blue "save" icon in the upper left-hand side of the screen.
