How to Create a Disruption Notification

Introduction

Disruption notifications in COS Business Engine enable network operators and service providers to communicate real-time or planned network issues to customers. These notifications ensure transparency and improve customer experience by proactively informing users about service impacts.

Solution Overview

To begin the process of creating a new navigate to the Disruptions menu under the Support dropdown or by typing "Disruptions" into the search bar at the top of the Business Engine Dashboard.

The "Search Disruption Notifications" menu will provide users with a brief look at every Disruption Notification they have created in the past, the date it was active and some of the text displayed to customers when the notification was active. To create a new Disruption Notification, select the blue "+" icon in the top-left hand side.

disruption2

This page will prompt users to input key information relating to the new Disruption Notification such as the name, or header, of the notification, the text you want to display for Customers who will be seeing the notification, and the dates the notification will be active.

disruption3

Users will also have to select the template of the type of Disruption Notification we will be sending to our Customers. For this example, we are using a standardized cable cut template, but at any point, users will be able to create a new template by hitting the "Add new" prompt.

The last step of creating a new Disruption Notification, will be to scroll down to the "Displayed for Groups" menu and select which groups this notification will display for, then select the blue "save" icon in the top left-hand side to confirm the creation of this new Disruption Notification.

When a Disruption Notification has been published to a Group or Groups, all Customers within those Groups will see a notification displayed whenever they login to their MyPage.
