How to Apply a Speed Promotion?
COS promotions apply only to pricing. Speed-based promotions, such as temporary bandwidth upgrades, are not supported.
Q: Can I set up a promotion in COS where the customer gets 2 Gbps for 12 months, then drops to 1 Gbps at the same price?
A: No. COS currently only supports price-based promotions. Speed-based promotions (e.g., temporary speed upgrades) are not supported and must be handled manually by creating new orders in COS.
Q: Is it possible in COS to create a seasonal service that will bill for full price on full speed during the season, and then lower speed and price (e.g., 5 Mbps/3 Mbps for $10 monthly) during off-season? Or is this only done manually?
A: A price reduction could be handled as a promotion in Business Engine, but speed changes cannot be automated in COS. Speed adjustments must be managed manually by creating new orders.
