Solution overview

Provisioning refers to the process of configuring and preparing the network and customer equipment to work with the Service Provider's network and provide the services that the Customer has subscribed to.

Manual provisioning means that the setting of technical parameters to make the service work is done by a person (remotely). In a large network with many subscribers, this can be a time consuming task, and the customer may have to wait days for the service to get activated.

Auto-provisioning means that the service that the customer ordered gets configured in the network and the customer equipment, without manual involvement. If the customer equipment is already in place, the service the customer ordered will be activated within seconds from the order is placed.
